Met my first 2010 goal!

March 2nd, 2010 at 11:43 pm

Fully funded the Emergency Fund in the amount of $1,200.00! Next goal is to fully fund the investment property EF in the amount of $1,000.00. I contributed $35.05 today. Some might suggest that I work away at the credit card as it's incurring interest charges I know I will sleep better at night knowing that my two EF's are in place. Besides, when I get a job I'll be paying off the cc's by the bucket load.

Congratulations! It feels so good to reach a goal. We are doing the same thing by saving along with debt repayment. It makes the repayment go slower, but we feel that this is important for us.

You are right to fund the EF first. Otherwise when an unplanned expense comes up, you'd have to charge it anyway. Great job.

Great job! Exciting to have the insurance of that EF being funded, and now you can go to work on the other stuff with a little bit more peace of mind. As long as it leads in the right direction - out of debt - then you are doing more than most!
