Scraping for snow flakes?

March 3rd, 2013 at 04:00 pm

Has anyone ever done scraping for income? I've seen people advertising themselves as recyclers. I like the "green" spin on it. And do hubcaps that are on the side of the road have any value? If so, where would you sell them?

OMG - so much going on!

February 21st, 2013 at 01:53 am

Too much to handle. Still off the smokes but would love to have one given what's going on:
1) We just heard that our Aunt overseas has had a massive heart attack and is in a coma, not sure if they have lifted life support.
2) My sib has just been notified that she's number one on the organ transplant list and could get a call any day now (and thanks again to all of you at SA that supported me 2 years ago on the same issue)
3) My best friends daughter is 11 (almost 12) and has just been told that the daughter has a mass the size of an orange on her ovary.

Thank God for an emergency fund. At least I don't have to worry about finding money to deal with all of this.

Pine Cone Surveys?

Can you share your experiences regarding this survey group? Is it worth it? When is the payout? How soon do they pay after you request your payment? Any other thoughts?

Emergency fund and the 30 day challenge

January 6th, 2010 at 04:21 am

Well, I've been able to incease our EF to more than $400. One third of what I need to have to feel comfortable. We're up to 11 points on the 30 day challenge as I threw out a garbage bag of crap from the work room (freecycled 10 items last month), sold a pair of skates yesterday, returned borrowed items yesterday. So I'm satisfied with the 11 points and have many more to go.
